Heartworm Treatment for Joseph

6.28.18 UPDATE: We have had to open fundraising again. Joseph has a pulmonary clot and is being hospitalized and the bill is already over $1,000. Please please please help save Joseph!!! Hello!!! As many of you know, I've been doing my share of finding/rescuing/rehoming dogs on my own since I've relocated to Wilmington.  We recently found a male pit bull, Joseph, who had clearly been abandoned. He is SWEET AS EVER. He loves every human he meets, and so far he has been great around other dogs! We absolutely cannot keep him since we have 5 dogs already, including old man Charlie who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. We have a potential adoptive family for Joseph, but we have hit a bump in the road as we found out that Joe is heartworm positive. We are fundraising to hopefully get him the treatment he needs so that he can live a long, healthy life with a forever family. Heartworm treatment is very costly and time consuming, but I rightfully cannot adopt him out until he has a clean bill of health. We are hoping to raise the money for his treatment, and he will live with us until he is healthy enough to go to his new home.
