Heartworm fees for GWP HEIDI Chops

Please meet our latest member of POINTER Rescue Serbia, GWP HEIDI Chops, rescued yesterday from a dog pond in Čačak, Serbia. Our girl had been abandoned, finding herself in the pound with no chance of hope.
Yesterday our driver drove over 7 hours to collect her and bring her to our vet clinic where she stayed over night. This morning HEIDI C was on the table for her vet check and bloods, she isn't so well. She has a fever of 40 degrees, has Babesia (from tick bites) inflammation in both ears, Bronchopneumonia, she's coughing and has a small lump on her stomach which will need to be removed.
A separate GOFUNDME will be set up to cover the costs of her vet bill, we need to focus on the Heartworm bill which is separate and which will be dealt with once HEIDI is fit enough to leave the vet clinic.
Heartworm fees are set by the weight of the dog, the cost of the antibiotics and the transport. The cost for HEIDI is therefore £265.
So far this year we have rescued 23 Pointers in Serbia (one from Hungary) 17 of the 23 tested Heartworm positive have required a GOFUNDME to support their Heartworm treatment. HEIDI is yet another poor dog to have been contaminated by infected mosquitos BUT we believe she has been recently infected. This could mean that she could test CLEAR after just one visit to the specialists.
