Heart Transplant For My Dad.

Donation protected
In 2014 my dad was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, he had surgery & had a defibrillator put in. For those who are not familiar with a defibrillator it basically delivers a dose of electric current (often called a countershock) to the heart. Although he wasn't feeling his best, he did feel better. It was far from easy but we managed, 2017 came around & things got worst. We spent months in & out of Hilo Hospital. His body kept retaining fluids which caused his body to swell up & breathing became difficult. We were constantly being told there wasn't much they could do. April came, he was finally flown to Oahu & they replaced his defibrillator with a newer model. We came home, a month later we were back in the hospital. Again we spent weeks getting admitted & discharged into Hilo Hospital, July came we were flown back to Oahu. He has been in Queens Medical Center for almost three weeks, on top of his Congestive Heart Failure he is now also diagnosed with Diabetes. We were told his heart functions at 15% & his best chances would be getting a heart transplant. Sadly his medical only covers 70% of his hospital bills & medicine. Medical bills are already adding up & because we live in Hawai'i he would need to go to the Mainland to do the heart transplant procedure. After doing procedure he will need to stay where procedure is done anywhere from three months to a year. The doctors gave an estimate of over $100,000 to get procedure done, we know times are hard & ANY amount donated is greatly appreciated. Those who know him know he is an amazing man, please help us reach our goal to help our dad.
