Hearts for Hudson

Hudson Lucas Spires was born July 8, 2018 at a healthy 7 lbs. 9 oz. He is a strong little man who has a congenital heart defect called Double Inlet Left Ventricle with some other small structural issues with his heart. Since he was born, he has had an open heart surgery at 1 week old and is currently being a rockstar in the PICU at the hospital; we are hoping and praying he will be able to come home in a month or so to spend time with Mommy, Daddy, and Leah the doggy. He will then need to return to the hospital to have his second surgery around 3-6 months of age, then again another surgery when he's a toddler. The overall goal of these surgeries is to reroute the circulation of his heart so it bipasses his non-functional right ventricle (half of his heart is fully functioning). We are very grateful for our little angel and truly appreciate all the love, prayers, and support!
