David is a single father who raised his 3 children alone from ages 4, 7 & 9 to today. They are now 21, 24 & 26. His oldest, Aaron, has a 2 year old boy, David's grandson Caden.
David has been in 100% commission sales his whole life. December 4th of 2014 he had a massive heart attack that required 5.5 hours surgery. His heart stopped and had to be resuscitated twice during the operation. It was a quadruple bypass. During the 4.5 hour period between the onset of the attack to the beginning of open heart surgery he suffered damage to his heart, lungs, liver and kidneys. By God's grace and miracles of modern medicine, the skillful hands of the surgeons and the loving care of many nurses and hospital personnel, he has been given a second chance in this life. With his heart operating at less than 40% of its capacity, he will be wearing a life vest for 3 months, after which a pace maker will be placed in his heart if he does not regain higher functioning. David is getting a little stronger each day but it will be a long, slow process to get back to normal living if he is able to fully recover. David serves as an usher on Sunday mornings at the CCV Anthem campus.
His family is asking for help to cover his monthly expenses while he is unable to work for the next 6-8 weeks. Thankfully, his insurance is covering most of his medical expenses, but he needs support in this time of healing to keep up with rent, car payments, insurance, phone, utilities. Etc... Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated. David expresses that when he is back on his feet he wants to pay it forward. God bless.
