Heart transplant for Owen

Our wonderful, loving grandson, Owen Jansen, requires a heart transplant for his survival. We were told to expect to wait a minimum of 3-6 months for a transplant while he is in the hospital. That does not include the recovery time in hospital and weekly visits, tests, and procedures he will need for months / years after. He is only 13 months old. He was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy when he was 4 months old. He was hospitalized with enlarged heart and liver back in December. His liver got better with medicine but doctors were only able to maintain his heart condition / functions through a lot of heart medications and frequent visits with Cardiologist to monitor and test him. In the last 3-4 weeks his heart has weakened and developed incurable Arrythmias. He is unable to leave the hospital due to his life threatening condition as his heart could stop at anytime. The doctors are trying to help control his arrhythmias with medicine but are having difficulty. His mother, Kayla Jansen is a single mother raising 2 children (both with special needs).
She is lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive family and friends but with transplant surgery there are many expenses and has been unable to work since he was admitted to hospital in order to care for Owen. It will be months before she is able to return to work.
We are asking you to open your heart and help this beautiful baby boy and his amazing, loving mommy who is his biggest superhero!

All money raised will go towards medical expenses, travel and lodging when Owen is in the hospital and general living expenses during his journey both at hospital and his long road of recovery
