Heart Surgery for Abi

Donation protected
Abi's story:

During an otherwise "normal" hospital visit back in August, doctors found a problem with young Abi Logan's heart.

A visit to Westmead Children's Hospital for further tests revealed several holes in the septum.

The specialist thought that a transcatheter procedure (requiring another visit to Westmead Children's Hospital) would have a good chance of covering all the holes, with the next step (if unsuccessful) being open heart surgery.

After a visit to the emergency room back in Armidale - the procedure was brought forward and another trip to Westmead Children's Hospital was needed the next day.

Unfortunately the procedure was unsuccessful.  They found a lot more that needed fixing than first expected, and further meetings with the specialist and doctors took place to plan for open heart surgery.

How can you help?
Andrew and Kerrie Logan are well known and well loved in the Armidale community.

They are always the first to help others in need, but now they need our help.

Family, friends, and their church community have already been helping with meals, care for their other children, and other tasks along the way - which have been very much appreciated.

However - travel, accommodation, time off work, and extra living away from home expenses all add up and with multiple trips to Westmead Children's Hospital already made, and more to come, any financial assistance would be of huge assistance during this time.
