Heart of Mesa 4th annual back pack give away

4th Annual Backpack Giveaway:

Once again Heart of Mesa will be supporting Learning Foundation and Performing Arts Charter School with backpacks and school supplies. This year we will be focusing on grades 3-6. The teachers at LFPA have given us a list of supplies needed for each of those grades.

This year we were able to obtain backpacks through Send Relief. This effort from NAMB focuses on giving backpacks to kids for the upcoming school year. NAMB sent 72 backpacks free of charge and we were able to purchase an additional 48 for a very discounted rate.

As we seek to fill these backpacks with school supplies, you can help in a couple of different ways. First, if you would like to donate money to help purchase school supplies you can make a donation to the church by earmarking your checks with “LFPA Supplies.” We will also be looking to set up a Go Fund Me account in the next week as we did last year as well.

If you would like to purchase supplies, there will be a sign up list of needed school supplies that can be found on the Heart of Mesa website Events page by clicking on the SignUp Genius icon. Please drop them off at the church office by the end of July. A sign up for the Backpack Giveaway Day volunteers will be announced later.
