Hola! Mi nombre es Veronica Ayala y me encuentro atravesando una situación de salud crítica. Necesito un trasplante de corazón y pulmón para seguir viviendo. 
 
A los 17 años fui diagnosticada con Hipertensión Pulmonar, Síndrome de Eisenmenger además, un VSD conocido también como: "comunicación interventricular" que es un orificio en el corazón con el que yo nací y se supone que se cerraria desde que yo era pequeña, pero se descubrió que nunca se cerro y ya no había posibilidad de operarlo. Gracias a un medicamento viví más o menos estable, pero nada de mi diagnóstico es curable, el último recurso es un trasplante de corazón y pulmón.
 
En 2023 tras varios meses sintiendo falta de aire extrema, presión y dolor en el pecho fui evaluada para ver si era candidata para un trasplante de corazón y pulmón ya que se sospechaba que mi enfermedad había avanzado 

Con la evaluación se confirmó que necesito el trasplante y ahora mismo me encuentro en la lista de espera desde Julio de 2024. 
 
Actualmente uso oxígeno suplementario 24/7, tengo una larga lista de medicamentos, varias citas médicas y exámenes cada mes. 
 
La mayor parte del tiempo me siento agotada. Cualquier actividad fisica me provoca falta de aire, presión y dolor en el pecho. Por lo mismo no puedo trabajar en este momento. 
 
Hice este GoFundMe para pedir humildemente su ayuda para cubrir los gastos de mi trasplante.

Hi there! My name is Veronica Ayala and I need a heart and lung transplant to stay alive. 
 
At 17, I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, Eisenmenger Syndrome, and a VSD, also known as a "ventricular septal defect." This is a hole in the heart I was born with and was supposed to close when I was a child. However, it was discovered that it never closed, and surgery was no longer possible. Thanks to a medication, I lived in a stable condition for a time, but nothing about my diagnosis is curable, the last resource is a heart &amp; lung transplant. 
 
In 2023, after several months of experiencing extreme shortness of breath, chest pressure, and pain, I was evaluated to see if I was a candidate for a heart and lung transplant, as it was suspected my disease had progressed. The evaluation confirmed that I need a transplant, I am currently on the waiting list since July 2024. 
 
I currently use supplemental oxygen 24/7, have a long list of medications, and have several doctor's appointments and tests each month. 
 
Most of the time, I feel exhausted. Any physical activity causes shortness of breath, chest pressure, and pain. Therefore, I cannot work at this time. 
 
I created this GoFundMe to humbly ask for your help to cover my transplant expenses.
