Cochlear Implants for 18 month old

Donation protected
I just had a phone call from a dear Pastor in South Africa. The Hendricks Family, who I have known for over 20 years, has an 18-month-old Grand-daughter called Scarlett who has just been diagnosed profoundly deaf. Both ears have essentially stopped working.

The prognosis is the cochlear and nerves to the brain are working but not connecting. Both ears will require Cochlear implants to work again.

The bad news is, the two operations (one for each ear) is charged for in South Africa, this kind of healthcare is not provided by the government.

This is an amazing family, who have built up a great Church. Scarlett's mum, Evangelique runs the Church's children's ministry and with her husband, Ashley, are determined to do what they can for their precious daughter.

The really good news is, the family has already raised 85% of the money needed, for the consultant, the operation, hospital fees, the anaesthetist, the aftercare and the implant technology.

What they need to raise is the remaining 15% of the cost.

Would you help me to help them raise what is needed ?

Time is of the essence as they have in faith booked the procedure for the 27th February. They are concerned about the interruption in Scarlet's ability to learn sounds and language at this formative time.

Scarlett's grandad recorded this video when they found out the extent of the problem at the consultants.
