Hearing devices for Mareme

Please, help Mareme, a 6-year old girl from Mbane, a rural village in the lower basin of the Senegal River, to get hearing aids. Mareme was born with hearing impairment on both ears. Because of this impairment, she cannot get proper school education, which is crucial for every kid, even more for little girls. In addition, she is becoming progressively more isolated from playing with her mates, which is so sad. Education and play are two things we often give for granted, but they are not for Mareme. The hearing devices for Mareme are quoted CFA 700,000 (about $1,400) which are way out the reach of her family, living mostly out of subsistence agriculture.
Please, consider donating any amount: every dollar or euro given will go a long way in helping Mareme getting the much needed hearing devices to restore her hearing.

Mareme is among the 1,500 kids we have been monitoring and treating for schistosomiasis in a research project we are conducting in Senegal as The Upstream Alliance, with the crucial help of Espoir Pour La Santé ( EPLS), a no-profit biomedical research center based in Saint Louis, Senegal, passionately dedicated for more than 25 years to devise new tools to fight infectious diseases and improve the health of the populations of the valley of the Senegal River. With EPLS's help, I will collect your contribution and help Mareme's family to get her the hearing device.

S'il vous plait, aidez Marième à recevoir un système d'assistance auditive. Marième est une fille âgée de 6 ans, vivant à Mbane, un petit village situé dans la région du fleuve Sénégal. Marième est née avec une déficience auditive des deux oreilles. Cela l'empêche de suivre une éducation scolaire normale. En plus de cela elle devient de plus en plus isolée des autres enfants.
L'éducation et la sociabilisation sont deux choses souvent prises pour acquis, mais ce n'est pas le cas pour Marième.
Les appareilles qui permettraient à Marième d'entendre correctement coûtes 700 000 Fcfa (soit 1100€), ce qui est bien au dessus des moyens de sa famille qui vie eessentiellement d'agriculture de subsistance.
