Hearing Aids for Scott Chandler

First and foremost, I want to thank you all if you are contributing to donate money towards my new Hearing Aids. I am reaching out to everyone I know and everyone that everyone else knows; in the hopes of raising money for something I need to help me. I have thought about starting this campaign for a while to get hearing aids but I hesitated. This time I am seeing the urgent need to do this. About a month ago, a pair of my Phonak H20 that I bought back in 2012 went out and stopped working. Unfortunately HA only last between 4-5 years on average. Due to me being very active and the environment that I work in, my pair lasted just over 4 years.
Unfortunately my medical insurance does not cover the whole cost for new hearing aids because the insurance companies deem hearing aids an "elective" instead of a medically necessary device for the hard of hearing. My audiologists have found the pair for me which is the OTICON and this brand is currently #1 in the industry. One HA costs around $3,000 meaning a PAIR is around $6,000. Yikes right?
So my insurance only covers up to $1,000 which means after insurance has kicked in, I have to pay $5,000 out of pocket to get new hearing aids. Now that I'm an adult, living on my own with my wife, this is a twist in emotion and responsibility. I am currently wearing the temporary HA for 30 days till I order the new pair. We are putting $1,000 towards the HA because that is all we can afford.
Hearing Aids are the main tool to providing me with success in my life, work environment and in secondary education as I will soon to graduate and to continue my education in the Fire Science Field.
Getting me new hearing aids will help me perform my job more efficiently at work and my personal life. I motivate you all to realize that hearing loss is a big deficit to someone's life. Everything you do in your day revolves around sound, phone calls, video games, movies, etc. I cannot live without a pair of hearing aids, as you all can't live without ears! All I ask is that if you can't donate anything PLEASE share this post! Every cent towards my new hearing aids will definitely help! This money will be used to buy a new pair of hearing aids, the warranty with it and future visits to the audiologist for re-tests and re-programming down the road. Thank you for all your support!
