Help Lindsay Beat Lymphoma!

Donation protected

Lindsay Provenzano (34) is a beautiful wife and mother of two: Joey (9) and Kaylie (7). For the second time in three years, Lindsay has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a rare cancer of the lymphatic system.

She had two surgeries in December—one for an invasive biopsy and the other to implant her port for chemo. Just days before her 35th birthday (January 7), Lindsay will start chemotherapy. Since this is a relapse, the treatments will be much more aggressive: three rounds of high-dose chemo followed by a stem cell transplant.

The upside is that the survival rate for Hodgkin's lymphoma is very high, according to the American Cancer Society, and Lindsay has a real chance at defeating this disease for good. But it will take strength, love, hope—and money.

Your donation can help Lindsay beat lymphoma!

 Massive financial burden

“It’s so hard to not get lost in the worry,” Lindsay says. “Having been through this before, I know firsthand how difficult it is for children to cope with the reality of a sick parent. Obviously, my biggest concern is my health and fighting to be well again, but with cancer, there is amassive financial burden."

After being diagnosed a second time, Lindsay had to leave her job as a postpartum doula/nanny to focus on getting better and caring for her family. Her husband, Paul, is now the sole provider for their family of four.

Lindsay and Paul currently owe thousands of dollars in hospital bills from a PET scan, two surgeries and x-rays. Her medical insurance has not covered anything as of yet. "It’s only been a month and a half since my most recent diagnosis and we’re already drowning in medical bills,” Lindsay says.

That’s just the beginning, as Lindsay has another long, intense treatment journey ahead: Two rounds of three consecutive days of chemo to start, followed by a PET Scan, then another round of chemo. After that, three days of stem cell collection, and then a 17-day inpatient stay at Yale for a stem cell transplant, where she’ll be in isolation most of the time.

Thank you for your help!

Lindsay is truly a kind person with a loving spirit and strong will, and she is determined to get well and return to her life of caring for her family, taking kickboxing classes, volunteering on the board of directors of Treasured Time (a non-profit that grants the wishes of parents with life-threatening illnesses who want to create a lasting memory with their children), having “girls’ night out” time with her girlfriends, going to concerts, and so much more.

Thank you for reading this and for any help you can provide. Any amount helps!
