Healthy Hearts for Haiti

Hi, I'm looking to help raise money for a hospital in Haiti. I work at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire and we have a relationship with Hopital Universitair de Mirebalais in Haiti. We are fortunate enough for this opportunity to work with an organization dedicated to providing qualtiy care to their patients' needs and wish to aid them by raising money to replace their sole cardiac ultrasound machine that no longer functions. Hopital Universitaire de Mirebalais is a 300 bed facility that covers a region of 185,000 people. Their clinics recieve and treat over 700 patients a day. With patient volumes this high it helps to have functioning equipment, especially having a non-invasive cardiac imaging ultrasound to diagnose heart disease. Haiti sees many patients with various heart problems that can only be diagnosed with ultrasound so this equipment would be put to good use. 
I am working with Dr. Costa and Dr. Remillard in raising funds to buy them a new machine that we hope to transport to their facility. The company we are considering, at humanitarian pricing, is offering a cardiac ultrasound machine at $5,000 and a cardiac imaging transducer for $2,500 for a total of $7,500. Both are needed together.
