Have you ever wondered what life would be like living on the street? Worse yet, being a woman on the street and getting your period every month? Unfortunately, that is the reality for hundreds of women and girls in San Diego, CA.
Out of concern for women and girls experiencing homelessness, Fulfilling Destiny was started in September 2017. Our mission is to help and empower women through the distribution of feminine hygiene products so they can have their period with dignity. In addition to general comfort, providing these products reduces the spread of disease and infection caused by poor feminine hygiene care. With the help of volunteers, grassroots efforts, and donation drives, we are proud to have helped over 3,000 women and girls living in San Diego.

At Fulfilling Destiny, we are always striving to create a better community for everyone. With the hottest days of summer quickly approaching, nothing is more apparent during the harsh San Diego heat than the need for access to clean water--especially for those living on the streets. During our feminine product distribution efforts, we are often asked if we have water or access to water. For this reason, we are excited to announce that this Summer we are hosting our very first Healthy Happy Summer event, with the goal of keeping people experiencing homelessness healthy and hydrated during some of Summer’s hottest days.
Our plan is to collect Summer health supplies and distribute Healthy Happy Summer bags to those experiencing homelessness in San Diego. Each Healthy Happy Summer bag will contain:
Bottles of water or a reusable water bottle
Sunscreen
SPF lip balm
Energy bars
Fruits
A hat
Our goal is to help 300 men, women, and children experiencing homelessness with this event.
We need your help to make the event a success by donating funds to help purchase the supplies listed above. Together we can help keep a vulnerable population right here in our community live a little healthier this summer.
