Healthcare Support for Dad with Alzheimers

Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family! My family and I have never been one to reach out for help. We would just work more or spend less in order to make things work. That is why, this is hard for me to do but so very needed. If you know my parents you know that they would do anything to help you- even if it was just a hug or a joke. My dad would work a full time job as a corrections officer and then come home and along with my mom would clean our church to afford our education and serve our church. My dad was quiet with a sense of humor and a love of oldies and dancing. Nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. About 10 years ago, dad started having trouble with his memory and after some testing he was diagnosed with vascular dementia/ Alzheimer’s.  The last few years the disease has progressed. I never wanted to consider nursing homes for my parents but my dad is advancing to the last stage of the disease and it has become very, very difficult and unsafe for my mom to continue caring for my dad on her own. We have decided that loving my parents means ensuring that they are protected and safe. It also means, my dad needs greater help and care than we can provide at home. In order to start this process there are healthcare expenses that have to be met in order to get my dad to be approved. If you are able to donate to this endeavor our family will be so grateful. Feel free to share. My thanks in advance …...
