Healthcare in the Jungle

Donation protected
Every year in Nditam, Cameroon, local NGO Hope International for Tikar People (HITIP) welcomes Dr. Georges Bwelle and a team medical professionals and students to provide free medical care to marginalized communities in the rainforests of central Cameroon. Thousands of people come from around the region to visit the doctors, get medicine, and have life-saving surgery. Consultations happen in 10 different languages and serve all people, from newborns up to grandparents!

This year we're hoping to reach even more people and support even more services and more operations. Villagers are making contributions to welcome, feed and house the volunteers, as well as pay transport for patients and gas for the generators. With your help, they can welcome an even bigger team, including a dentist and an optomologist. There has been a big need for cataract surgeries in the past years, and we must meet this need! The team will also be able to stay longer - the whole weekend! - and provide more consultations and surgeries.

Even more exciting, the Gothenburg chapter of the International Order of Oddfellows will be matching the donations up to $1,500! Every dollar goes a loooong way, so please give what you can!
