Health fund for Tanker

 
Tanker has been through a lot and is still the biggest personality in any room! He's curious, affectionate, stubborn, and very talkative :).

He spent his whole life with his daddy, a retired navy veteran. They were on and off homeless for years and most recently homeless since December 2018.

Luckily after weeks of reaching out for help, Tanker's person has been placed in temporary housing through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The process was rather complicated due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The veteran's ultimate goal is to regain his health and financial stability and to be reunited with Tanker. Until then, I've agreed to take good care of little Tank. When the ban on visitation is lifted at the VA funded housing facility, both Tanker and I will check in to see how his person is doing. Until then I'm trying to keep Tank as healthy as possible and that's where I need financial help.

Tanker has health problems due to old age and life outdoors and some due to a truck accident he was in a few years back. We don't know yet how high the veterinarian bills will be or what problems will be found. So far I know he needs a general wellness check ($20-40), vaccinations ($80-$100), teeth cleaning ($300-400), removal of a mass on his chest ($300-500) and a biopsy of it ($120-$150). Prices are estimates, but I'll know soon the true cost - we have an appointment this coming week!

Through the process of finding housing for Tanker's person, I spent a lot of time with the two of them and I love them like family. I want to make sure I can afford whatever Tanker needs to get healthy again. Since Coronavirus broke, I'm unable to work and have been doing everything I can for them on the little savings I have.
