Healing: Help for Sharol.

My name is Sharol. I live in Oceanside, CA. in a 55- and- older community. I have been a hairdresser for over 50 years until recently.

I believe my problem started when I was a teenager, and got a really bad sunburn on my shoulder. About 10 years after I got the sunburn, I noticed an unusual redness on my shoulder. It was diagnosed as psoriasis. Over the past year, the condition has gotten progressively worse and very ugly. It has become so painful, that it is very difficult to lift my arm and function at my job. Driving a car is also excruciating. I remember driving home from work one day and screaming in the car because the pain was so bad.

We consulted a doctor, and a biopsy revealed a deep basal cell carcinoma. My husband and I have been proponents of a healthy lifestyle and diet for many years, so we were profoundly surprised by the big “C” diagnosis. We decided to pursue an alternative course of treatment, even though it wasn’t covered by insurance. I did NOT believe in resorting to a debilitating series of radiation and chemo treatments.

We investigated several alternative approaches to recovering my health, and are working with a reputable, world-renowned alternative cancer care clinic. We expect treatment will take six to nine months before I am able to heal and function better. I look forward to recovering, and know that I can continue to be useful and contribute to the lives of others for years to come. My clients are friends. Some of them have been my clients for 30-45 years. I have missed them since I started my leave of absence.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to cover the cost of alternative care. Although, my husband is still working as a general contractor, handyman and draftsman, more and more of his time is now spent taking over household jobs that I cannot do at this time. That means he has less time to work and make money.
The burden of paying for care, and compensating for my missed income, can not easily be shouldered by us alone. We calculate that this adventure in recovery will cost us about $20,000 over six months.
$7,000 for continued clinic visits, herbal tonic formulation, vitamins & CBD oil and cream and a net loss of $13,000 in my income.
We need the funds as soon as possible, since I have been on temporary leave from work and partially incapacitated for a few weeks.  Financial assistance would help us to pay the bills, keep food on the table, roof over our heads, besides paying for continued medical treatment. I could also use some help cleaning the house.
We are appealing to whomever is able to help, and want to extend our thanks and deep gratitude in advance.
