Hello, my name is Yvonne M. Livingston Co-founder of SISTAMoms Global. As a trauma survivor, I know first hand how music and the arts can give someone their reason for being. SISTAMoms has given back to our community on the lower westside of Chicago for the past two years. We practice our corporate responsibility through violence prevention business-to-business model. Many hands make the work light.

Support Mental Wealth Through Music, Healing, and Ubuntu

SISTAMoms Global Inc. is raising \$7,500 to bring the powerhouse band Tamarie T., Matthew Godbolt, and Kidd Exotik—creators of the genre Exotik Funk—to Maxwell Street Community Garden (1150 W 13th Street) for our annual Back to School Block Party August 22nd.

This is more than just a performance. It is a spiritual and cultural offering to our city—a free day of art, rhythm, wellness, and joy designed to nurture the mental wealth of youth and families on the South and West Sides of Chicago.

Why This Matters:

Our block party is a healing ground, where the community gathers to celebrate, recharge, and reclaim what trauma has tried to take. By bringing these artists from New Orleans and Mississippi, we are:

Centering Black art as therapy
Promoting Ubuntu (I am because we are) and Sankofa (go back and get what was lost)
Inspiring youth with positive, creative expression
Honoring intergenerational wisdom and restoration

These musicians are not just performers—they are healers, rooted in funk, soul, and spiritual truth. Their sound is joy. Their message is love.

How Your Donation Helps:

Your contribution will directly support:

Travel & lodging for the band
Stage, sound, and tech setup
Free food, art supplies, and backpacks for families
Healing stations with music, drumming, and storytelling
On-site coordination and youth-led art activities

Every dollar you give brings us closer to building a future where music is used to transform pain into power.

Who We Are Bringing:

Tamarie T. – Creator of Exotik Funk, Chicago-born visionary
Matthew Godbolt – Mississippi-based drummer, rhythm architect
Kidd Exotik (Elijah Robinson)– Young New Orleans guitarist and sonic healer

Together, they form a trio that revives the soul and redefines the power of live music.
