Healing our Dad-Rev. Dr. W. Thomas

Our dad and best friend, Reverend Dr. Weldon G. Thomas, Lt. Colonel (retired), has served as the senior pastor and spiritual leader of New Bethel CME Church in Rochester, New York since 2005. He is a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor, veteran, and hero. He now finds himself in the fight for his life. Our dad was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer!
Unfortunately, his cancer has not responded after a full round of chemotherapy. Doctors have suggested additional treatment with clinical trials as the next step. Fortunately, there are several promising clinical trials that he is eligible for and it is critical that he is enrolled immediately.
The obstacle is that the clinical trial requires continuous travel between New York and Houston, Texas. Flights, hotels, and rental cars are outrageously expensive. Health care is also extremely expensive, and even though dad has insurance, there are a lot of costs that the insurance will not cover. Our parents are covering out-of-pocket expenses such as doctor visits, hospital stays, hotels, and other miscellaneous medical bills not covered by the insurance and drug companies. We are starting this GoFundMe campaign in order to assist them with these growing costs.
We want to count the years that our father, Rev. Dr. Weldon G. Thomas, can continue his discipleship and watch his grandchildren grow. We want him to spend another 40 years with his loving wife, our mother Marilyn D.Thomas. If you are so led, please help us to proclaim his healing by contributing to his much needed treatment.
