Healing Meals for Rachel's Recovery

***UPDATE- Thank you for all of the generous donations. We are so happy to report that we have raised enough to cover Rachel's meals! The Walker family has expressed an additional need: their college-aged children, Peyton and Reid, are struggling with having to go back to college during this challenging time. They are committed to visiting their mom often during treatment. We know these visits will lift Rachel's spirits when she will need it most. As a result, we have raised our fundraising goal and any additional donations will be applied toward airline tickets for the family and any additional needs that may arise. On August 2nd, our dear friend Rachel was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). As she prepares for the journey ahead, we want to show our support.
As many of you know, Rachel has adopted a vegan lifestyle. Nutrition will be essential in her healing process. We have secured the services of Chef Wil with Chef Wil Organic Meals to prepare special organic vegan meals with all the cancer-fighting nutrients her body requires.
The cost of the meal service is $100 per week ($20/day). We would like to secure 8 weeks of meals for Rachel to ensure she has meals throughout her entire treatment plan.
Our goal is to raise $1000, any additional funds raised will go to the family.
