Healing Inday Jessie's heart

Hi I am Anacel, who recently migrated to Sydney Australia hoping for a better career and a great paying job which would allow me to send money back home to my family in the Philippines.

I am starting this campaign for my mom, Mama Inday. Many could testify how selfless, compassionate, loving and strong she is. Despite us being lucky on having both of our parents while growing up, I've always known my mom to single-handedly work very hard to provide for a family of 6. She is a diligent and hardworking government employee of the City of Iligan.

Year 1994
We met a vehicular accident. During that time my mom had to undergo leg surgery leaving her with one leg shorter than the other- causing her to limp when walking.

Year 2000
She was diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2 and was prescribed to use insulin but with how expensive a bottle is, she wasn't able to take it regularly and relied on making sure her blood sugar are in check.

Year 2004
She felt a cyst on her right breast which was later identified cancerous. She had to undergo numerous treatments including chemotherapy and had to have her right breast removed, undergoing right mastectomy.

Year 2010
Myoma was found so she had to undergo total abdominal hysterectomy with a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, removing her uterus and cervix.

Late 2017 to February 2019
Because of the pain she feels, she had to take pain reliever almost everyday. She felt a sharp pain and it was found out that her right spine was greatly affected by her limping. It was then recommended that she undergo regular Physical Therapy. The doctor advised her to undergo decompression, a surgical procedure to alleviate pain caused by a pinched nerve in the spine. Because of how expensive it is, it was just last February 4 that she was able to undergo the surgery.

April 15, 2019
On the early morning of 15th of April, she was rushed to the Emergency as she was experiencing shortness of breath which we later learned were end of life signs of a Congestive Heart Failure. She is then advised to undergo angiogram which was not available in the city where she was admitted.

She had to fly out to Manila as soon as the doctor give her the clearance that she was safe to travel-making sure that her heart is stable and that she is cleared of pneumonia.

April 19, 2019
She was discharged from the hospital in Iligan. She took the last flight and was rushed to the Emergency room of the Philippine Heart Center. It was then found out that she still have pneumonia and had very critical level of magnesium which could lead to either cardiac arrest or seizure.

April 22, 2019
She had angiogram which later determined that her right coronory artery is severely blocked which means she has to undergo open heart bypass surgery.

Unfortunately, our family did not foresee this and are not prepared financially. With the cost of the treatment said to be upward of a million Philippine pesos (atleast AU $25,000), any help would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly struggled with the idea of a gofundme page at first because I know we all have our own financial struggle and priorities. But the reality is our family can't afford this treatment and my mom needs our help.

Any amount you would be willing to donate would be greatly appreciated. Information on charities and/or financial assistance programs we can apply for would be helpful. Your prayers are very much welcomed.

If you wish to contact me directly, feel free to email me at [email redacted].

Thank you very much.
