Healing help for Sarah

Please help my sweetest Steamboat friend through Oncology treatment and recovery from Breast Cancer.

Dear Friends,
In July I was diagnosed with Invasive Breast Cancer. I had a lumpectomy in late July but unfortunately, a genetic test (Oncotype) of the actual cancer cells showed they had a propensity to go walkabout and there was a 19% chance that a few had already wandered off and might settle in another place where they were harder to control like my lungs, liver, or bones. So now 16 weeks of Chemotherapy is in the cards and we are planning to start sometime the week of September 10th. After Chemo, I will still need to have Radiation for 4 weeks or a mastectomy sometime at the beginning of next year. The cancer was caught early so all of these are proactive measures to prevent a re-occurrence whether in the breast or elsewhere.
We have had so much support from family and friends so far and will continue to need it! Although we would prefer not to ask for help, this is now going to fall in two years of medical bills and although chemo can be done here with hopefully little missed work, radiation will have to be in Glenwood Springs with a lot of travel and missed work. We have a bit of money in our HSA but we will need money for our Insurance Max Out of Pocket in two different years, trips back and forth to Glenwood Springs for Radiation, my reduced salary during both the chemo and radiation, extra childcare, and most importantly a wig or two to make going hairless for up to a year not so traumatic:)
If you are local to Steamboat and can help with time instead of funds that would be even better: Beth Dewey was so kind to set up the CaringCalendar where we can post updates but also post when we have a need and are getting overwhelmed. Having no experience with this journey, we may not need much help or maybe we will need more than we think:) Not much is on the calendar yet and we are still not sure what the whole process will look like but as we get further along the treatment path, we will add things as needed. If you are farther afield and would prefer to help with something other than a donation, a restaurant gift card - especially to somewhere that does takeaway would be great.
