Healing help for Janneth

Donation protected

On November 15, 2020 Janneth was having  a hard time breathing, had a bad cough and was taken to the E.R. with  covid-like symptoms, but tests came back negative.  After additional medical testing she was diagnosed with heart failure. Her heart's ejection fraction (the amount of blood pumped with each beat) was only at 35% where as the normal rate is 60%. They also found that the 3 main vessels in her heart were severely blocked. She spent 10 days in the hospital to ensure that there were no other issues with her heart.

On December 18, 2020, she noticed prominent left leg weakness, but didn’t think too much of it.  Things progressively got worse and by December 21st her legs were unstable and she was unable to walk.  She returned to the doctor where she was told it was likely a pinched nerve in her hip. Things still got worse from there and the day after Christmas she was back in the ER, as strongly suggested by her husband, Daniel.  Doctors did MRIs and CT scans and the results came back that she has had several mini strokes, some were older and some more recent. Janneth then spent another 4 days in the hospital to try and figure how and why the strokes occurred,  they couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause, but said it is very likely related to her heart condition.  She was released from the hospital and spent another 11 days at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute where she did 3 hours of therapy every day to relearn how to walk, and to regain strength and use of her left hand.

Janneth continues to fight and battle everyday to regain her strength, mobility, and independence.  With all of that also comes the burden of missed work and medical bills that are now rolling  in.  If you know Janneth personally, you know what an important role she plays in our Fairchild  community.  She's an Air Force brat herself, and has been a caregiver/teacher at the Child Development Center on base for the last 11  years, she is the first person to help someone in need with a smile on her face.  She's kind, patient, and her love for children and service to the Military community runs deep. On her days off you'll often find her  watching one (or several) of her CDC kiddos while mom or dad got called in for duty on the weekend. She's attended more children's birthday parties than I'm sure even she can count, and at the end of the day she does what's most important, she shows up for people.

Janneth has been my neighbor, the caregiver to my oldest (for 5 years, we were so lucky!) but more importantly she's become a great friend in the last 10 years that my family has know her.  I would love nothing more than for the community to show up for her, like she has for so many.

Any dollar amount you're willing to give is appreciated with the deepest of gratitude and will go directly towards medical bills, and help with living expenses from missed wages and being unable work yet.  She absolutely can not wait to get back to the kids in her class, and easing some of life's stresses will help get her there faster.
