EquiSoul Helps to Heal Hearts Through Horses
Donation protected
My name is Nikki Kagan. I’m a leadership coach, equine-assisted therapist, and the founder of 'EquiSoul'—a healing program that helps women and soldiers reconnect with themselves after experiencing burnout, grief, or trauma.
EquiSoul takes place on a quiet farm where participants work in the presence of horses, explore different forms of creative expression, and are gently invited to reflect, feel, and reconnect. There’s no riding involved—just the powerful, calming presence of the herd and a deeply intentional space to heal.
Over the course of eight weeks, I’ve watched participants shift from emotional exhaustion to a sense of grounded strength. They begin to trust themselves again. And in the case of soldiers—often carrying invisible wounds—they find moments of calm and connection that words alone can’t offer.
I’m raising funds to make EquiSoul more accessible—especially for women in transition, those facing financial hardship, and soldiers coping with trauma.
These are often the people least likely to seek help and most likely to downplay their own needs. But when they’re given a quiet, respectful space with no pressure to perform—just to be—they begin to heal.
Your support will help remove financial barriers for those who need this work the most.
How the Funds Will Be Used
100% of the funds raised goes toward providing this program for free for every participant. It covers:
1. Cost of assistants who help me run the program
2. Materials and supplies for creative expression (sometimes through music or art)
3. Development of new programming for soldiers transitioning to civilian life
4. Outreach to underserved communities who would benefit from EquiSoul
Every contribution—no matter the size—helps someone feel safe, seen, and supported. Thank you for being part of this healing journey.
