Healing Haley's Heart

Haley is a 23 year old warrior! She is a heart patient who's had 2 previous open heart surgeries and valve replacements; both of which have failed and resulted in additional complications and infections. Her heart troubles first began in 2017 when we weren’t sure that she would ever leave the hospital. Over the last two years, she's had her ups and downs. Many of scares, and many of sleepless nights knowing that the inevitable would one day appear. Here we are two years later, facing that reality.  At present, Haley's heart is failing due to the aortic valve separating from her heart. Only a tiny piece of muscle currently holds the valve in place, ultimately keeping her alive. Unfortunately, Haley is not a transplant candidate so her frail body is struggling to keep up the fight. Additionally, petechiae in the arms and feet have her confined to the bed and her cognitions have gradually become less coherent. After receiving numerous opinions, we have accepted that Haley's time left with us is very limited (with optimistic expectancies giving her three weeks to live)--and as such, Haley has been discharged home with hospice to enjoy her final days in peace. While we thank God for the insurance covering the costly medical expenses, the family does not have a burial policy for their daughter as no parent anticipates burying their child at such a young age. If you are able to donate and assist with these expenses, it would relieve a huge financial burden off of the family and allow them to focus on overcoming the emotional loss of their daughter & sister.
