Healing from Hate

Donation protected
As many of you have heard, the horrific event of the August, 2nd 2019 El Paso Walmart shooting has left many in a state of shock, horror and immense pain. While these heartless and violent acts have impacted our country in unimaginable ways, it has directly impacted, so many individuals who will continue to be effected by these acts of hate  for years and generations to come.

Our friend and classmate, Zianya de la Mora, is one of the many to feel the direct impact of that hate. Her mother, Elsa L. Mendoza Marquez, a loving mother, school teacher, and principal, was one of the two dozen victims who did not emerge from the supermarket following the incident.

While many of us did not have the privilege of meeting or spending time around Elsa, we have been blessed with the friendship and love of her daughter Zianya. We have watched as Zianya has dedicated herself to helping people, just as her mother did, and would like to do our part to extend that love and support back to their family.  Elsa will be missed and remembered by her family including her husband and son as well as all the lives she brought joy and happiness to.

In an effort to show our unwavering love and support for Zianya and her family during this time, we, as Zianya's fellow graduates are asking for donations to support the family pay for any expenses or needs as they try to move forward and heal.
