Why My Parents Urgently Need Your Help:
In November, my father collapsed on the bathroom floor, unconscious and not breathing. He was rushed to the ER where he went septic, barely surviving the night. We learned that he had aspirating pneumonia, food going into his lungs instead of his stomach. He was told he'd be on a feeding tube for the rest of his life. He went through stage 4 throat cancer 9 years ago, and the radiation left his throat tattered and scarred, resulting in this.
Now, it is March, and my mother suffered from a stroke a few days ago. My mother has been the rock holding us all together, the one who we (too often) relied on, the strong angel that lifted us off the ground. We had barely begun to pay my father's medical bills when my mom suffered this stroke, and was told she might never teach again. She is unable to move the arm or hand on her right side, and can only slightly move her right leg. She will be going to a rehab facility where she can work on regaining movement.
We don't know if she will even be able to teach for the rest of this year, let alone the rest of her life.
I am asking for your donations so that my parents can have some breathing room if my mother can't teach. My father is still too sick to have a regular job, so he isn't able to support her with his own cash flow. If you donate some money, we can begin to pay off some of these bills, and let my parents both recover in peace, without worry that they might lose everything.
