Healing for Richard Bruggenthies Jr

Richard is the 15 year old son of a long time friend of mine. He loves fishing, the outdoors, and wrestling. For the past 2 1/2 years he has been experiencing black out spells, severe migraines, and severe nausea. What began as an annoyance has now progressed into much worse, and over the past few months his condition has gotten far worse than ever expected. Once full of life, he is now struggling to do day-to-day activities.

Richard can no longer wrestle...something he loved to do, he isn't able to attend school, or do anything a typical teenage boy can do. Instead he has been in and out of hospitals and clinics, unable to hold down any food, fighting severe migraines, and having more black out spells. The many doctors and specialists that have seen him, still cannot figure out what is causing all of this even after running constant tests. Richard was admitted to St Cloud Hospital again on Monday February 5 after an appt with his Neurologist, following days of still not being able to hold food down, and a migraine that would not let up. While at the hospital on Tuesday, February 6, Richard began vomiting blood and was rushed by ambulance to Children's Hospital St Paul. This is his second stay at Children's in the past 2 months. Still unable to find the cause, or a solution, Richard will be getting a feeding tube place tomorrow.

Not only has this had a huge impact on Richard's quality of life, but it is putting a tremendous strain on his family as well. His mother, Amy, has been unable to work as she has been taking him to appointments, and staying in the hospital with him each time he is admitted. His father, Jory is still working, but with three other kids at home, added expenses for the family during hospital stays, travel, and incoming medical bills, one income is not enough. I am asking for help in easing some of the burden Richard and his family are facing. No amount is too small, and if you aren't in a position to help financially, even passing this along to those you know, will help. I am also asking for ongoing prayers that they figure out what is causing all of this, so Richard can go back to enjoying his teenage years. Thanks in advance for any donations and prayers.
