Healing for Krista Mertens-Whiting
Donation protected
On Friday, 7/27/18, our dear friend Krista Mertens-Whiting, mother to Spencer and Alex and wife of Ian, sustained critical injuries from accidental carbon dioxide exposure. Sadly, the life of Hilla Whiting, mother and grandmother, was lost during this tragic accident.
Krista is receiving excellent medical care and is showing signs of improvement. Her long-term prognosis is not yet known. We do know that Krista has a long road to recovery which will require extensive treatment.
Both Ian and Krista work full-time jobs in addition to operating a family business on nights and weekends. This period of grieving and healing will likely keep them both from working for an extended length of time.
The Mertens-Whiting family has touched so many of us over the years through their love, friendship and service to our community. Please consider a donation to help them with any future long-term uncompensated care expenses and wage loss.
