Healing for Carissa

Many of you have been asking about our long time hygienist, Carissa.  She is still very ill.  Some of you may remember her bout with ovarian cancer over 10 years ago.  She has survived that, but now has another health issue.  She has had a glycogen storage disease, McArdle’s  Syndrome, for most of her life.  In the past she would have 1 or 2 flare-ups a year that would go away with rest and minimal treatment.  She began to have another in the fall of last year, after her mother died, and despite numerous hospital stays, she is still in a lot of pain.  She developed numbness in one leg, fell and broke a bone, as well as some GI issues that make it difficult for her to eat.  This is a disease that there is no known treatment.  She is still at home unable to work or get out very much. 

I have decided to set up this GoFundMe account to try to help her and Chad with some expenses.  You can imagine the hardship on their family with her not being able to work for nine months now.  They are not the type of people to ever ask for help, and she was in tears when I mentioned it.  If you are able, please follow the instructions to help her out in this time of need.
