Healing & Justice for 67 year old grandpa beaten

Donation protected
A group of us travelled to Ottawa to show our Canadian pride and fly our flags on Parliament hill July 1st. We were so excited to come together and could hardly wait for the next morning to share our love for our beloved Canada on Parliament hill on Canada day. I had been here a couple years ago after being invited to speak after I spoke with the PM Justin Trudeau at the Peterborough Town hall where I shared my story the story of a single disabled grandma growing up in Canada.
Much of Ottawa looked very different then it did in 2017 as I could not believe how so much of the beauty had been replaced litter and homelessness it was truly heartbreaking to see how our nations capitol had been ruined.
We felt very unsafe in the country we were born in afraid to step outside alone in case something terrible would happen to us. We made a point of not going outside alone and to only go in pairs.
Just before bed time Stephen a 67 year old grandfather decided to head out front of our hotel at the Holiday Inn for a quick smoke. Myself and our other room mate had already gotten ready for and gone to bed. We were awakened to see our dear friend Stephen calling for help as he had been beaten outside the front door of our hotel by 5 Somilian males. At first when I opened my eyes to his screams I thought he had been shot as blood was running down his arm. He was leaning over the dresser unable to move so we helped him into a chair and tried to stop the bleeding.  Thank God it was not a gun shot wound but his arm which was cut up from being thrown to the pavement.  I ran to the lobby for help and 911 was called. He was taken by ambulance to Ottawa general with what we thought was a broken hip at the time. He was lift his right leg without alot of pain.

While having a quick smoke before bed in front of our hotel he was surrounded by 5 black males who spoke Somilian. They grabbed him throwing him into a van hitting his head and knocking him to the pavement. One of them stepped on his chest as he lay bleeding in a handicap parking space. At one point Stephen tried to offer them money to end his gang beating. He was told the only way he was getting this mans foot off his chest and getting up was if he got them inside of the hotel lobby. They beat a innocent man in order to gain access to the front door of the Holiday Inn that required a card for the security alarm that only guest had.
My dear friend Stephen never made it to Parliament hill on July 1st he was being treated for his injuries at Ottawa General hospital.
We are very great full to the staff at Holiday Inn and the Ottawa police for their quick action. The camera footage the manger turned over to police on July 1st shows Stephen all bloody hardly able to hold himself up being forced by this gang to open the front door and then follow him to the hotel elevator. The police are currently charging 2 for the beating and we will pursue they be found guilty of committing a HATE crime against a white Canadian Senior.
It should never hurt to be Canadian but sadly since 2015 when Justin Trudeau became PM he has allowed our once safe cities to become a breeding ground of foreigners being allowed to take over and destroy our safety and security!!

After sharing my post about our nightmare on Canada day in Ottawa several people asked me to set up a GOFUNDME to show Stephen's grandkids that s Canadians we will be there for his grandpa to see he has everything he needs to not only recover but seek justice and cover any legal fees and trips back to Ottawa for court appearances. Will you stand with Stephen and fight for justice?

Please only donate if this will not cause a financial hardship that is all this grandpa ask as he does want justice served and he has pressed charges.
