Many times in life we have obstacles that we face some are simply solved with just a word of encouragement. However there are those that prove themselves to be very difficult, even to the point that one may feel that they are in a box with no way out. This special valley experience King David expresses in psalms 23 by stating
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of deathI will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
I have been a Preacher of the Gospel for over 19 years, a husband and father for 15 of those. During these years my wife and I have endured many trials and encountered just as many victories by the hand of the Most High and our faith has not wavered for we still seek to see the goodness of Yahuwah in the land of the living.
With that being said we are facing a life changing event that we never even considered we would ever face. This is our story.
My name is Adrian J. Harrison, my wife is Chantell Harrison and we are the parents of ten beautiful bible believing children. We are a very health conscience family that obey all of the dietary laws of the Scriptures. However about a month ago our second oldest daughter, Hannah which is 13 years old had a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes that were larger than normal. We brought her in to see a doctor and we were told that she had strep throat and was given an antibiotic. After about two week she was not getting better, so we proceeded to bring her to another hospital. It is here that our Goliath began to be revealed. Two days ago my daughter Hannah was diagnosed with AML Leukemia which is a very aggressive cancer of the blood. Since then she has received many blood transfusions and in two days she will be starting Chemotherapy. This therapy is to be administered at the hospital for about six months. We are dedicated to being present for the recovery of our daughter. It is our first calling to take care of our baby. The challenges that we face are as follows:
Due to this life event everything in our normal routine must change in order to ensure the success of our family. I am self-employed and will not be able to work a rigorous schedule as I have in the past to support my family. My consistent presence is needed with my family on a day to day basis because my wife will be at the hospital with Hannah during this process. My wife and I will rotate our time with Hannah but our goal is that one of us will always be there walking with her through her therapy. The hospital that Hannah is at is 2 hours from our home which will cause and increased cost for travel and lodgeing. Resources will be needed for medications , procedures, and other living expenses. Any extra finacial support will help us to maintain a structucted and consistant life that will provide a conducive enviorment for healing for Hannah and the entire family.
It is my calling as the Head of My House to work and be the main provider for my house hold I am simply asking if anyone looks at our situation and feels lead to help financially this is a way to do so. I am learning that there are some battles that cannot be fought alone but rather with the help of brothers and sisters in the Most High. Please even more important than money please cry out to the heavens for my family if it be His will He will hear from His Set Apart Throne and be compelled to move to simply Heal My Hannah!
