Head Start for Gabe

Donation protected
Saturday, May 27th, 1017 started out like most weekend days. Hanging out at home and eating breakfast. Gabe started to complain of a headache so we took some basic steps toward helping him feel better. As the headache continued to intensify he started to show signs that something was not right and this was more than a normal headache. However, he quickly became very nauseous and started to vomit.
Mom loaded him up to go the urgent care but just had a feeling that they should go to the ER instead. At the ER they started treating him for a migraine, but when the treatment did not yield any positive results, they decided to do a CT Scan. They found bleeding on his brain and decided it would be best to have Gabe
airlifted to Children's Hospital!

(From Gabe's Facebook page- Inside Gabe's Head)
"Before the helicopter took off Gabe's breathing wasn't stable. So, the gave him a paralytic and intubated him. We are here at the hospital with him waiting while the neurosurgeon figures out what exactly is going on. We know for sure he has had a spontaneous brain bleed, but don't know the cause. Please continue to pray!"

1 hour later:

"Gabe is in surgery to have a drain put in his brain and a central line put in. He will have surgery in the morning. He's on a ventilator and paralytics to control his breathing and such. The dr said his aneurysm is very large and dangerous; 1/3 die before making it to the hospital, 1/3 die in the hospital, and 1/3 survive with or without lasting effects. He wouldn't go into detail concerning brain damage or other lasting issues as to not overwhelm us. It's taking all my self control to not google outcomes. So, I really know nothing beyond what they're telling me. Please keep praying!"

The pain of knowing your child may not survive the next few hours is something no parent wants to experience so please CLICK HERE to go to their facebook page for more details and find out how Gabe is doing.

Due to so many people asking if they can help financially Gabe's parents have agreed to set up this page to help cover some of his medical expenses and upcoming medical needs. Please take few moments to read through their story on Facebook and then donate as you feel lead.

God has been good to this family and He has used this terrifying accident to help mold and shape them into His likeness. As friends, family, and supporters of this family we have an opportunity to help relieve some of the financial stress that comes along with all of the emotional and mental stress they've been given. Please give knowing that you are walking along side Gabe with his family and helping him on his road to recovery!
