Keep Hope Alive

Hi, my name is Joe. I have been a boxing coach, mentor, and guide for youth and adults for over 15 years. For the last 3 years, I have been following my dreams and goals of making a difference in my community as a police officer.

On 1/01/2020, my wife and I created the Bemidji Boxing Club in Bemidji, MN. Being new to the Bemidji community, we were very excited to bring our previous program from Duluth, MN to this community.

As we all know, Covid-19 hit and the world changed. Our progress over those short 2.5 months came to a screeching halt! We were not eligible for

government assistance or ppp loans. We had donations that helped keep the utilities on but after 8 months of being shut down in 2020 and an additional 3 months in 2021 we were not able to pay our rent.

We have also had to shut down for when our trainers became sick.

We are now to a point where we need to pay our missed rent payments. We can’t sustain our current location due to back rent and mounting debt.

There is hope at the end of this struggle. We have found a new location to call home. With your help, we can have a fresh start in a new home!

The sport of boxing has changed my life for the better. Boxing has blessed me with the ability to help our lost, misguided, hurt and broken youth.
