A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
Tammy is one of the heroes who took care of my dying wife over the past 8 years. My wife died in July at age 48 after 21 years of intense suffering. Tammy had the courage and compassion to lean into our calamity. While working 60 hours per week with 21 hour shifts, she moonlighted as a nursing student and raised 2 teenagers as a single parent. Since the death of my wife, she now works a 72 hour weekend shift, is a full time nursing student with perfect grades, and loves on her 2 teenage girls.
Recently, Tammy’s ex husband lent her car to a friend over the holidays while Tammy was visiting family. The car was totaled by the friend. The insurance will make the final payments on the car. Tammy was about 1 year from owning the car having paid $14,000 at a very high interest rate. Now there is nothing. No transportation. Desperation. Nothingness. Numbness. Ache and angst.
There is hope for Tammy. We can all be part of a Christmas miracle! I am believing that we can all pitch in and purchase a new or used vehicle before Christmas day. Tammy and her family need a bunch of heroes. Will you be one of them?
