A cry for help went out some weeks ago to save 100s of dogs from a dog pound in Shanghai.  Authorities were set to euthanize between 150 and 200 dogs, as the pound was full. The shocking truth is that these dogs were not going to be humanely euthanized, rather, they were set to be burnt alive.  Both local and foreigners rushed to the pound to start rescuing, a few lucky dogs were adopted and then the gates were closed. No more adoptions. Local and foreign animal lovers/rescuers continued to negotiate over the coming weeks to at least rescue some of these babies. Finally they allowed 105 to come out ( 4 died the first night). A temporary shelter has been set up and some of these dogs are fighting for their lives. CDV, Parvo and severe skin conditions is the main battle at the moment for many of these rescued babies. Unfortunately after the initial rescue funds are critically low. Please help us to nurse these babies back to health. We need support and help from the rest of the world. We cannot do it without you!
