Family and friends, I write to you with a heavy heart. On Easter Sunday my mom was in a car accident and passed away. As you all know, my mom was my best friend. I’m devastated.
Mom was taken from me too soon. My dad, my mom and my aunt Mary (her sister) were pulled over on the side of the road, checking an issue with one of the tires, and were hit by drunk driver. My mom and aunt took most of the impact. My mom died shortly after the impact. My aunt has extensive injuries and is in the ICU at Baylor Hospital. My dad is sad in spirits but well in health. My family and I are holding on, we're taking things one day at a time. A lot has changed in the last 48 hours ...
I’m not only reaching out to inform you of my family’s loss, but also to ask you for a favor. My mom’s funeral arrangements and my aunt Mary’s medical expense will be in the thousands…my family and I need financial help. Please donate what you can and know that my family and I appreciate every cent. I’m working with the police and have hired a Lawyer. The driver was taken to the ER with my aunt.
I’m holding off on my mom’s funeral date until my aunt is out of immediate danger. I know my mom would like it this way. As soon as I have all the arrangements made for my mom, I promise I will let you know.

Familia y amigos, les escribo hoy con el corazón en la mano. El domingo mi mami tuvo un accidente y falleció. Como todos saben, mi mami era mi mejor amiga. Estoy devastada. Mi mama fue arrebatada de mí lado demasiado pronto.
Mi papa, mi mami y mi tía María (Hermana de mi mama) se detuvieron a un lado de la carretera a attender un problema con una de las llantas y fueron chocados por detras por un borracho. Mi mami murió poco después de la accidente. Mi tía tiene lesiones extensas y se encuentra en la unidad de cuidados intensivos en el Hospital Baylor en Dallas. Esta muy grabe! Mi papi está extremamente triste pero bien de salud. Mi papa, mi hermano y yo estamos en agonia pero estamos juntos y con mucho apoyo de familia y amigos. Mucho ha cambiado en las últimas 48 horas…
No solo les escribo para informarles de la pérdida de mi familia, sino también para pedirles un favor. Los arreglos del la funeraria de mi mami y lo gastos médicos de mi tia Mary saldran muy caros. Por favor, dona lo que puedas. Mi familia y yo apreciamos cada centavo. Estoy trabajando con la policía y hemos contratado a un abogado. El chofer hebrio fue llevado al hospital con mi tia.
Todavia no tengo fecha para el funeral de mi mami. No queremos hacer nada hasta que mi tía este fuera de peligro. Sé que a mi mami le gustaria que occura hasi. Prometo que les haré saber los detalles del funeral lo mas pronto possible. Sé que muchos se han puesto en contacto con nosotros -por eso estoy muy agradecida. A partir de ahora, estare en el hospital con mi tia Mary. Si deseas pasar a ver a mi familia, has me lo saber y te enviare los detalles.
