My website will give you a look into my life, mission and story. Thank you for your time, you are amazing.

My name is Sean Williams Minguez and I am a Spanish-American track and field athlete raised in America. I specifically run the 400 meters for Spain and I am an Olympic hopeful for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil. This will be my last chance to train and qualify for the Olympics and represent the country of Spain, the other half of my heritage and roots.

I was an All-American at the University of Washington, located in the great city I was born and raised, Seattle. Go Dawgs! After college I trained in Seattle for 4 years where I opened up the 2007 season running the 10th fastest time in the World in the 400 meter hurdles. I decided to move to Los Angeles for better weather and training environment and prepare for the 2012 Olympic games. Completely healthy after a full year off, I am back and ready to start my road to the 2016 Olympics, more focused and determined than ever.

I run for the country of Spain as my mom is full Spanish and a Spanish citizen when I was born. My mother came over to the US for a better life as she had an incredibly difficult childhood. Getting the opportunity to represent the other half of my heritage and compete for the life and opportunites my mother wasn't given is an incredible experience for me.

Adequate training requires 15-20 hours a week, and with a work schedule spanning six days a week, the necessary time to train is hard to come by. I need to cut my working hours so that I can put more time into training and allow for my body to rest. I am putting very hard work in but recovery is just as important as training. With how many hours I currently work, it's a challenge to get the training and recovery that I need to be successful.

The money raised would go towards the 2016 training season which consists of a strength training coach and facility, training coach, supplements, body maintenance (deep tissue, chiropractic), training equipment (training shoes, racing shoes, etc), race fees, race travel and to supplement the other 20 hours of work and still be able to pay my bills. Ideal hours a week I can work are 20-25, currently working 30-34. The money raised will go solely into a track account and be the support I need to be able to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games. I can only do it with your help and support. I would love for you to be a part of my journey and see me race in the colors of Spain in the 2016 Olympic Games held in Rio, Brazil.

Your time, faith, trust and support is more appreciated than I can put into words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and being a part of my life.
