On September 25, 2014 Mike Mills passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Mike's wife to help cover the expenses incurred during Mike's illness.
Mike was married to Donna Mills for 31 years, and was the proud father of Matthew Mills. Mike loved to spend the weekends out at Pearland Shooting Club, shooting and breaking clay targets on the trap and skeet fields. He cherished the days that both his wife and son would accompany him out to the range to spend the day shooting and relaxing together. Shooting was a passion that he loved dearly, and passed the love of the sport on to his son, Matthew. Mike was a devoted and loving husband and father who loved to spend time with his family. Mike, Donna and Matthew often spent many weekends camping. All other spare time was spent on the water fishing, this pastime is one that they all loved and it allowed them to create great memories together that will forever be treasured.
Mike was a devoted employee of the Mundy Company for almost 40 years. He was also dedicated to his community and the industry that he worked in. Mike was a member of the San Jacinto College Foundation Board, Economic Alliance Board, Deer Park ISD Board, and was Chairman of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce Board. He was an active ACIT/TCC committee member, as well as local and national SMRP committee member.
