Heal Mike O\'Shea

My uncle Mike was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. It was a shock for our entire family.  We have come together to support Mike in this time of need. Through loving support, prayer and a positive approach we are working to heal Mike.

I will be running The Mayor\'s Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska on June 23, 2012. I will be running this race for my uncle Mike and fund raising for LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY. I am hoping to raise at least $100 for each mile I complete. In times of struggle it is hard to know what to do to help... Geographically I am about as far as I can be from Mike and my family. However, my thoughts, prayers and efforts are working to support every step of Mike\'s recovery. Please let this fundraiser contribute to the work that needs to be done to cure Leukemia.

My uncle Mike is one of the strongest, compassionate and loyal individuals I have ever met. Although he appears to be a big tough guy with those guns of steal and cat-like reflexes, we know he is a big teddy bear who may even get misty eyed at a wedding from time to time. I know I speak for my entire family when I say Mike is a guy you always want around. Whether he is displaying his very impressive dance moves or telling you his amazing stories, you know that if you are in his company, you are going to be having a lot of fun!

Growing up Mike was an amazingly cool uncle who regularly took time to spend with my brothers and I. I have great memories of trips to the Fireplace, to the arcade or even just getting to tag along with him during his day.

Mike\'s loving spirit infultrates throughout his whole life.  He has a beautiful family with wife Tina. They have 3 adorable children who he loves dearly. He has devoted his career to serving our community through law enforcement. Life is busy, but Mike gives his whole heart to his friends and family.

It is now our turn to give back to Mike.
