Aaliyah Shimiyah-Jordyn was born On October 19 2012.
She spent the first two weeks in the hospital and home with extreme Juandice
On November 1st 2012 they took my angel and explained to me that she had 3 holes in her heart And a coarctation of the aortic valve. She was immedialty sedated and Open heart surgery took place Nov 6 2012. 2 years later the same +1 added issue exsists which requires Aaliyah to yet again need Open heart surgery for the second time. Last year Aaliyah had a balloon procedure done to try and fix another issue as well.
So we are now back and getting ready for yet another surgery and With that I gave up my lease preparing to move her to another state so she could be stable and be raised there. After the final desicion to do surgery we now must stay put and watch over her closely for the next year here. For the next 4-6 months I will not be able to work because of the precious and close care Aaliyah will need.
Even if I could work I would not have anyone to watch over her since I have barely any family out here and call me a mom but I couldn't trust anyone to care for my daughter after a operation like this again. Daycares wont even take a fresh heart patient for up to a year after anyway. this puts me in such a terrible situation. Up to a month ago Aaliyah had her own room her own everything to run and do as she pleased.
We live in a place that is not made for children and forces Aaliyah to stay in a room with me all day. Everyday my daughter cries to go home. Everyday she picks up her purse and grabs my hand and walks to the front door and says "home mommy I go home" I cry all night because I can't work to get her that place again. I can't begin to tell her in the next two weeks what's about to happen again. I can't think to tell her that she will have to have her chest cut open again so they can keep her alive then after that we go back to a place that is not home or made for her to heal and be free. She doesn't deserve any of this. I set this account up after consulting with a couple of people on what to do to get her to a comfortable place after her second Open heart surgery. A place where she can take it slow but know this is home. This angel deserves her heaven again and I pray that we can help get her there. I love you Aaliyah I'm so so sorry.
