For those of you who do not know my mom, I'd give you 2 minutes sitting next to her and you would feel like you have known her for years. Her positive attitude is contagious, and her constant smile and compassion can light up any room. For those of you who do know my mom, you know the above statements to be true. There is also a pretty good chance that you have a wonderful memory including her. This lady loves life, her family, and a little bit of rock n'roll! If you don't already know, Mary was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and will be starting her first chemo treatment on Monday, July 17th. With what is already a very long and stressful road ahead of her, I want to be able to ease as much stress as possible. My hopes is that this will allow her and my dad to focus on what is important...getting her healthy. My mom is self-employed, owning an in home daycare for the past 25 years (and still going strong!). She LOVES what she does, and I know that every single one of her daycare kiddos have touched her life just as she has theirs. Sadly, the downside of being self-employed is that you don't get paid for time taken off. With the long journey of chemo, surgery and radiation ahead of her, my mom is going to need time to rest and recover. Our goal is to raise money so that she can take a few days off after her treatments and surgery, as well as helping with the pricey medical bills that come along with it. Any bit helps, even if it is only $1. If you don't wish to donate, or if you would like to help another way, we just ask for prayers. My mom is ready to get this fight started, and has the most positive attitude! From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for taking the time to read this, and for your prayers, love and support!
