Melissa Suba Cancer Treatment Fund

Melissa fell in the shower on August 1, 2014. She was taken to the emergency room where a fracture of the 3rd lumbar vertebrae was discovered caused by stage 4 metastatic cancer. Further investigation revealed cancer in her breast, lymph nodes and two other vertebrae in her spine. After surgery, a week recovery in the hopsital, and two more weeks rehabilation at home, she returned to work as the office manager for Sabino Smiles dental practice.

Melissa is doing well receiving conventional cancer treatment through the Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson, Arizona and following through with additional diet and supplement recommendations specific to cancer treatment.

Our goal is to have her treated at Dr. Burzynski's cancer treatment center in Houston, Texas where the results with their treatments are phenominal. The initial cost is $25,000 for the first two weeks followed by continued treatment at home with medications costing $4,500 monthly for one and a half years.

We have medical insurance, but Dr. Burzynski's treatment center does not accept insurance. We are continuing to pay deductibles and co-pays accrued from Melissa's back surgery, recovery, and on-going treatment through the Arizona Cancer Center. The additional costs are beyond our means and we are hoping that people will consider donating what they are able to in order to provide for Melissa's continued recovery.
