HCAM Education Program

Holbrook Community Access and Media, Inc. (HCAM) exists to produce original, local programming for our community and to provide information, education, support, community access, and training to local cable subscribers and the community.

The organization has served the Holbrook community since 2008. A significant portion of our service is geared toward our youth media program. We have helped build an award-winning broadcast journalism program called "Code Blue News" at Holbrook Middle High School (HMHS). The program has exposed many students to a career path they never knew existed, let alone obtainable. It has also helped many students develop life skills needed for their future outside of a career in media.

Students of the class of 2021 created the brief video above. The video showcases the brilliant work of our students. It also highlights the program's impact on the future of recent alumni.

We created this fundraising project to offset the high cost of sending some of these students to The Student Television Convention in March, where they will attend workshops, compete in production contests, meet with other students who share their passion for media, and network with representatives from some of the best media colleges in the country.

The estimated cost for the trip is $30,000!
Join us in supporting the futures of some of our bright youth members!
