Expense Fund for Jason McVey Family

Donation protected
Jason was involved in a freak accident on November 12, 2014. He was helping a friend skin a deer when the 4X4 support beam fell and hit him in the head and knocked him unconscious. He was taken to Maine Medical Center and has been in the neuro ICU since. He was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and has a subdural and subarachnoid bleed in his brain. He has a skull fracture and rib fractures. On Sunday November16,  2014 Jason had a probe inserted into his brain to monitor the intercranial pressure due to the swelling and bleeding in the brain. The physicians were not able to control the pressures with medication so the decision was made to remove a large piece of the right side of his skull to help relieve the pressure. He currently has a tube in place to help him breath, a probe in the left side of his head to monitor pressure, and a drain in his skull to drain the excess fluid. He is sedated and sleeping to give his body the rest and time it needs to heal.

Jason is going to have a long road to recovery. He has been the sole provider for his family. He has a wife and two teenage children. They will be in need of much assistance. Jason has always been one to help anyone in need and I hope that we can now help him in his time of need.
