We are the Boyer family! Shane (dad) works in the manufacturing industry. April (mom) stays at home and homeschools our five children. We live on a small homestead in Ohio.
We began the process to foster-adopt early on in our marriage and soon found out we were expecting our second child, so we decided to put the process on hold until our children were older.
Fast forward to 2020 and we were blessed by the birth of our fifth child who also has Down syndrome. Aside from the pandemic, 2020 was a rough year for us as we navigated our daughter’s numerous medical needs. However, we believe God used 2020 to prepare us for even more.
We believe ALL children are a gift from The Lord and we know God is leading us to international special needs adoption. These children are normally put in orphanages, group homes or institutions and do not have access to proper care.
We have been busy planning and looking for ways to earn the funds needed, such as chopping and selling firewood and crocheting handmade items as well as applying for grants to help with the costs.
