Hello,

My name is Trina, we are starting a GoFundMe to help raise money for our beloved dog, Tiko, cancer surgery to remove two mast cell tumors from his leg. Tiko is a 11 year old blue nose pitbull ♥ We have had Tiko since he was 6 weeks old and has been pretty healthy his whole life, up until about a year ago when he was diagnosed with Horner's Syndrome, hypothyroid and then in July of 2024 our baby boy had a lump on his leg rupture :( after several tests, CT scan, cytology, we found out not only did he have a mast cell tumor on his leg, he also has a second cancer in his lung :( Everything he has been through, he is still full of life and a very happy dog! Since July, we have spent over $21,000 on his diagnosis, procedures, biopsies, monthly bloodwork, chemo and on Friday Nov 29th, our baby boy underwent a major surgery to remove two mast cell tumors from his leg. I have taken a personal loan for $15,000 to cover most of his cancer journey, prior to knowing surgery was our only option. We are asking for donations to help cover his mast cell tumor removal surgery.

Tiko is so much more than "just a dog", he is my heart, my world, my universe! He has been by my side through the darkest days of my life, he taught me it was ok to laugh and love again after I lost my 29 year old sister unexpectedly. Then again when I lost my mother and mother in law, a year apart. Him and his little sister are the only thing that kept my soul alive, I owe it to him to give him the best chance at living his life out as an old man ♥ Our babies are our world, they mean everything to us and their needs will always come before ours, they always have!

I am not a person that asks for help, especially financial help, so this is not easy for me to do but we are truly in a rough spot. On top of all this, I myself have several chronic illnesses; Cystic Fibrosis, Polycystic Kidney Disease (currently in stage 4 kidney failure) and Osteoporosis, I'm currently going through the process for kidney transplant, all of which come with significant medical bills, even with health insurance.
