Hurricane Irma-Hazel's St. Maarten
Donation protected
On September 6th 2017 Hurricane Irma, a category 5 storm directly hit St. Maarten and surrounding islands causing massive damage to the region. This GoFundMe page has been set up to provide help with the rebuilding of the Hazel family home located in Cole Bay St. Maarten.
The home was built by our father/grandfather/great-grandfather, Mr. Maurice Hazel over 40 years ago. The house was a result of his hard work, sacrifice, blood sweat and tears. In the 1940's Mr Hazel moved to Aruba and lived there for a number of years raising his family while working at the oil refinery. His ultimate goal was to save enough money to build this house which has been in the family now for 4 generations.
The house has been totally damaged from Hurricane Irma which removed 90% of the roof during its passing. As we look to rebuild the house in his honor, we appreciate your gifts and support in helping to restore his and our family's legacy.
With sincere regards and thanks, The Hazel Family
Note that 100% of the funds received will be used towards the rebuilding of the family home.
